Breast Medical Oncologist at Cancer Center of South Florida

The Cancer Center of South Florida (CCSF) is searching for a Medical Breast Oncologist who is board-certified or board-eligible physician and specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of breast cancer. At the Cancer Center of South Florida (CCSF), the Breast Medical Oncologist plays a vital role within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients and their families. This position requires strong clinical acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and leadership within the field of oncology. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of residency in internal medicine or a related field.
• Fellowship training in hematology or oncology.
• Board certification in hematology or oncology.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSE OR REGISTRATION:

• Must possess and maintain an active, unrestricted Florida Medical License issued by the Florida Board of Medicine.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Medical Oncology or Hematology required
• Valid DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration for prescribing controlled substances.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of oncology, hematology, diagnostics and evidence-based protocols
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making in complex medical situations.
• Ability to clearly communicate with patients, families, and care teams.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment meanwhile promoting collegiality and mutual respect.
• Ability to manage time and have a high attention to detail.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership, integrity, and compliance with medical, ethical and legal standards.
• Knowledge of using electronic medical record systems (EMR).
