  • The Cancer Center of South Florida (CCSF) is searching for a Medical Breast Oncologist who is board-certified or board-eligible physician and specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of breast cancer. At the Cancer Center of South Florida (CCSF), the Breast Medical Oncologist plays a vital role within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients and their families. This position requires strong clinical acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and leadership within the field of oncology. In addition to fulfilling essential clinical responsibilities, CCSF physicians are expected to embody the shared values and professional standards that guide our organizational culture and partnership pathway.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
    • Completion of residency in internal medicine or a related field.
    • Fellowship training in hematology or oncology.
    • Board certification in hematology or oncology.

    REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSE OR REGISTRATION:

    • Must possess and maintain an active, unrestricted Florida Medical License issued by the Florida Board of Medicine.
    • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Medical Oncology or Hematology required
    • Valid DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration for prescribing controlled substances.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

     

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:

    • Knowledge of oncology, hematology, diagnostics and evidence-based protocols
    • Strong critical thinking and decision-making in complex medical situations.
    • Ability to clearly communicate with patients, families, and care teams.
    • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment meanwhile promoting collegiality and mutual respect.
    • Ability to manage time and have a high attention to detail.
    • Ability to demonstrate leadership, integrity, and compliance with medical, ethical and legal standards.
    • Knowledge of using electronic medical record systems (EMR).
