How you'll make an impact in this role
Ascension Medical Group Via Christi is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible, Fellowship trained, Interventional Cardiologist to join our cardiology team.
Responsibilities:
- Highly-skilled, experienced and expanding team of 5 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers.
- Upcoming remodeled and convenient clinic space with close proximity to the hospital.
- Largest multi-specialty group practice in Kansas with More than 300 providers representing 40 specialities, including significant primary care and medical cardiology base.
- Academic affiliation with the University of Kansas School of medicine - Wichita allows for teaching and training mentoring opportunities.
- Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
- Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.

What minimum requirements you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
