Job Summary:
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at MCW is seeking an accomplished and motivated Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our academic clinical practice in collaboration with the Zablocki VA Medical Center. The successful candidate will provide a mixture of inpatient and outpatient care, engage in teaching and scholarship, and collaborate within a high-energy team of over 60 cardiologists. The practice includes state‐of‐the‐art equipment, advanced heart failure, transplant/MCS, ECMO, EP and structural intervention programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive non-invasive cardiology services in both clinic and hospital settings.
- Participate actively in teaching medical students, fellows, and residents, and support scholarly activities with dedicated academic time (20%) for research and teaching.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams at MCW and Zablocki VA, bringing expertise to advanced cardiovascular care programs.
- Contribute to conference presentations, quality improvement initiatives, and administrative/service duties as part of the division.
Qualifications (Required):
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited cardiology fellowship.
- Board certified or eligible in cardiovascular disease; ability to achieve certification within required timeframe.
- Valid Wisconsin medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Current ACLS certification and unrestricted ability to participate in Medicare/Medicaid programs.
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Demonstrated interest in academic practice, teaching, and research.
- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Subspecialty interest or expertise in non-invasive imaging, heart failure, or structural heart disease is a plus.
Location: Milwaukee, WI (with clinical practice at Zablocki VA Medical Center and MCW’s academic practice)
