Lutheran Hospital is seeking 4 General Cardiologists to establish a brand-new Cardiology Hospitalist team. This innovative model is designed to provide dedicated, high-quality inpatient coverage on a 7-on / 7-off schedule—giving you a predictable routine, excellent quality of life, and 100% inpatient scope with zero outpatient clinic responsibilities.
You will join an established, highly respected cardiovascular team consisting of 18
specialists and 3 cardiac surgeons across Interventional Cardiology, Non-Invasive
Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Advanced Heart Failure.
Position Highlights & Clinical Responsibilities:
- Inpatient Focus: Dedicated inpatient rounding, new consults, consultative
admitting services, weekend rounding, and diagnostic reads. - Manageable Patient Volume: Average patient census of 15–19 patients per day.
- Procedures & Diagnostics: Consultative care, TEE, diagnostic reads, and
inpatient testing. - Single Location Coverage: Physical coverage is focused strictly at Lutheran
Main Hospital. * Advanced Technology & AI: Integrated Cerner EMR paired with Dragon
Dictation and CLEO AI charting to minimize documentation burden and optimize daily efficiency. * Robust Support System: Dedicated Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) work
independently to manage patient volume and enhance patient access.

Candidate Requirements:
- Education: M.D. or D.O. degree
- Training: Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship
- Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Cardiology
- Experience Level: New graduates and experienced physicians are encouraged
