The Mason City Clinic (MCC) in Mason City, Iowa has an excellent opportunity for a BC/BE non-invasive General Cardiologist to join the Cardiology department. The Mason City Clinic is a multi-specialty physician-owned group.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Join the busy practice of 10 physicians, 10 fellows, and 7 NPs

  • 1:6 call rotation with opportunity for excess call +$500 per diem & fellows taking 1 st call!

  • Practice includes inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services

  • Full range of cardiology services, including non-invasive, invasive, interventional, & EP working together with cardiac surgery & vascular surgery services. Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and cardioversions required

  • Training opportunity with Cardiology fellowship program
    • Cardiology Fellowship includes 3 residents/year and an interventional Cardiology Fellowship, accepting 1 per year

  • Opportunities for outreach at one of our 10 critical access hospitals in our 14-county network

  • Primary Service Area- ~260,000 people

  • Located at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center- 342 bed regional referral teaching hospital

Package Details

  • Competitive guaranteed base salary: $599,804/year + production (2-year guaranteed base)

  • $100,000 bonus package!

Qualifications

  • BC/BE- Must be board certified within 3 years of becoming eligible
  • H1B & J1 candidates encouraged to apply
  • All offers are contingent upon the successful completion of references, background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required.
  • Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program
  • Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
  • Above average communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a team.
  • Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
