  • The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a BE/BC General Cardiologist to join our growing team at the St. Francis Heart & Vascular Center in Topeka, Kansas. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established practice within a nationally recognized academic health system, ranked among Forbes’ “Best Employers.”

    Position Highlights:

    • Full-time (1.0 FTE) with inpatient/outpatient mix
    • Collaborative team: 8 Cardiologists, 9 APPs, 2 CT surgeons, 3 CV APPs, and robust support staff
    • Clinical focus—no research or teaching required
    • 4 hours of weekly administrative time
    • On-site procedures and testing: stress testing, echo, vascular sonography, Coumadin clinic, cardiac rehab, vein/device clinics
    • Structural heart programs: ASOIPFO, TAVR, Watchman; Mitral/Triclip launching in 2026
    • Strong referral base from PCPs, specialists, hospitalists, and outreach
    • Schedule: M–F clinic/outreach; rotating inpatient weekends/holidays
    • Call: 1:6 (5 days/month) with excess call pay
    • Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology for efficient documentation
    • Advanced imaging: CV PACS Fuji, EKG Epiphany, 3mensio
    • Outreach to 10 secondary service locations

    Qualifications:

    • ABIM Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiology
    • Fellowship training in Cardiology/Cardiovascular Diseases
    • Open to new graduates—mentorship available
