The Allegheny Health Network (AHN), Cardiovascular Institute is recruiting a Full-Time, Cardio-Oncologist to join our team serving the Pittsburgh area. This is an opportunity to join one of the premier cardiac programs in the country providing superior care and access to a comprehensive, multidisciplinary team of specialists and innovative therapies, including many available only through clinical trials. AHN’s Cardio-Oncology program has grown over the last 10 years serving patients across the network and recently achieved the ICOS- Gold Certification.
Highlights:
- Clinical or Echo leadership opportunities may be available based on experience/interest.
- Lead the strategic expansion of our comprehensive Cardio-Oncology program .
- Foster collaborative relationships between Cardio-Oncology, Oncology, and Non-Invasive Imaging specialists.
- Enhance seamless, multidisciplinary patient care pathways and innovative diagnostic approaches.
- Provide expert consultation and direct patient care to individuals facing cardiovascular complications of cancer therapy, as well as those with pre-existing cardiac conditions undergoing cancer treatment.
- Hold academic appointment at Drexel University College of Medicine
- Lead and participate in clinical and population health research and clinical trials
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills – eager to build bridges between differing specialties
- Demonstrated interest or fellowship training in Cardio-Oncology
- American Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania prior to employment
