Key Job Responsibilities

  • Cardiac CT: Interpret coronary CT angiography, including quantitative and qualitative plaque assessment, coronary artery calcium scoring, CT-derived fractional flow reserve, and functional and perfusion CT. Perform structural heart imaging for TAVR, transcatheter mitral and tricuspid intervention, left atrial appendage occlusion, and electrophysiology planning.
  • Cardiac MRI: Interpret and protocol cardiac MRI for cardiomyopathy, myocarditis, ischemic heart disease, myocardial viability, arrhythmogenic and infiltrative disease, valvular assessment, and cardiac masses, including parametric mapping (T1, T2, T2*, extracellular volume) and stress perfusion imaging.
  • Vascular CT and MR: Interpret thoracic and abdominal aortic, pulmonary arterial, carotid, renal, mesenteric, and peripheral CT and MR angiography, including pre- and post-procedural evaluation of endovascular and open surgical repair, aortic dissection and aneurysm surveillance, and vasculitis.
  • Congenital cardiovascular imaging: Evaluate pediatric and adult congenital heart disease across CT and MRI, including preoperative planning and long-term postoperative surveillance of repaired and palliated physiology, in collaboration with pediatric and adult congenital cardiology colleagues.
  • 4D flow MRI and advanced quantification: Acquire, post-process, and interpret 4D flow MRI for valvular and shunt quantification, aortic and pulmonary hemodynamics, and congenital physiology, with exposure to wall shear stress, kinetic energy, and other advanced hemodynamic metrics.
  • Advanced visualization and emerging technology: Participate in 3D post-processing, segmentation, cinematic rendering, 3D printing, and virtual and extended reality applications through the RADIUS laboratory, and gain exposure to photon-counting detector CT, deep learning reconstruction, and AI-based quantitative analysis tools.
  • Protocoling and scanner-side training: Protocol and monitor cardiovascular CT and MRI examinations, including contrast and radiation dose optimization, ECG gating strategies, heart rate management, and troubleshooting of non-diagnostic examinations.
  • Multidisciplinary and consultative work: Present at structural heart, congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathy, aortic, and vascular surgery conferences, and serve as an imaging consultant to referring services.
  • Education: Teach residents, medical students, and technologists on service and through departmental didactics.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4 Year Residency in Radiology
  • MD - Physician - State Licensure
  • WI Medical License by start date.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified by American Board of Radiology by start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated interest in cardiovascular CT and MRI, evidenced by research, presentations, publications, or coursework.
  • Experience with cardiovascular post-processing software and 3D advanced visualization.

Education:

Required: Terminal Degree MD, DO, or equivalent.

Compensation Details

Compensation: The starting full-time salary for the position $90,508.
