Position & Facility Details:

The anesthesiology department consists of 11 Anesthesiologists and a total of 11 CRNAs and CAAs. The care delivery model is medical direction for all cases as well as frequent solo cases for the physicians. Overnight and weekend call services are covered by the physicians only. Call frequency is 1:5 including primary and backup calls. The daily schedule and assignments are determined by your position in the call rotation.

Anesthesia services are provided at St. Agnes Hospital (a critical access hospital) and the Fond du Lac Surgery Center (a free-standing outpatient center). The main hospital is located in the heart of Fond du Lac, and the surgery center is conveniently located approximately two miles away.

St. Agnes Hospital utilizes anesthesia services throughout the facility in 7 general operating rooms, one cardiovascular operating room, a hybrid cath lab, a cardiac EP lab, 4 GI procedure rooms, obstetrics, and medical imaging. Case types include general surgery, orthopedics, urology, gyn, obstetrics, neuro (back surgery and crani), cardiac, cath lab, vascular, GI endoscopy, podiatry, and minimal pediatrics. We do not do interventional neurology or transplant surgery (except for rare organ procurement).

The Surgery Center has 4 operating rooms for outpatient orthopedics, ENT, pediatrics, plastic and cosmetic surgery, podiatry, and ophthalmology.

The cardiac anesthesia team is made up of 5 anesthesiologists. Fellowship training or TEE certification is not required. We currently perform about 125 open hearts, 40 TAVRs, and 35 thoracic cases per year and expect the program to grow in the near future. Post-operative care is managed by the cardiothoracic surgeon and intensivists.

SSM Health uses Epic for its electronic medical record.

  • $650,000 Base Salary
