Cardiac Anesthesia opportunity with IU Health in the home of Purdue University

Excellent opportunity for a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our collaborative team at IU Health Arnett Hospital located in Lafayette, Indiana, home of Purdue University.

• Occurrence Based Mal Practice coverage

• Medical direction of CRNAs for general cases and MD sitting solo for Cardiac cases

• Cardiac call 1:4

• No OB

• MDs cover call solo

• Cover cases at IU Health Arnett Hospital, Outpatient Surgery Center, Cath Lab

• All cardiopulmonary bypass cases are done with anesthesiologists. Anesthesia for cardiac cases including cardiopulmonary bypass, thoracotomies, and vascular cases including Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms and Aortic Endograft procedures. Familiarity with Transesophageal Echocardiography is required

• Excellent, modern equipment includes: glidescopes and Sonosite ultrasound machines for regional anesthesia

• Peripheral nerve blocks a must

• Serving greater Tippecanoe County, patient draw base of greater than 500K

Qualifications:

• BC/BE, ACLS, BLS, TEE credentials (grandfathering if TEE skills are up to date)

• MD/DO Indiana license or eligible
