Job Highlights
Hasbro Children’s / Brown University Health is seeking a child and adolescent psychiatrist to join the nationally recognized Selya 6 Inpatient Med-Psych Program, a unique collaboration between the Division of Child Psychiatry and Human Behavior and the Department of Pediatrics. This 16-bed unit provides family-based, intensive, interdisciplinary care for complex patients with psychiatric/psychological conditions and co-occurring medical presentations that result in functional impairment.
Clinical Scope
· Care for adolescents ages 10–18
· Manage an average of 8 patients daily as part of an integrated multidisciplinary treatment team
· Average length of stay: 3–6 weeks
· Presentations include:
o Functional/somatoform disorders
o Chronic pain syndromes
o Eating disorders
o Chronic medical illnesses with treatment non-adherence
Care Model
· Multidisciplinary team including:
- Child psychiatrists
- Pediatricians
- Pediatric psychologists
- Rehabilitation specialists
- Master level clinicians
- Dieticians
· Family-based, integrated care approach
· Step-down to med-psych partial level of care when clinically indicated
· Full access to subspecialty and hospital resources
Schedule & Work Environment
· Weekday schedule
· Weeknight call from home approximately 8-9 times /year
· Weekend call approximately 3-4 times/year
Academic Opportunities
· Medical student and resident/fellow teaching

About Compensation & Benefits
· Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible

About You
· Board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
· Completion of a US-based Psychiatry residency
· Interest in integrated, interdisciplinary care
