The Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for a Child Neurologist at the Assistant Professor rank. The incumbent will participate in caring for children with neurological disorders in the inpatient and outpatient settings. To be considered for the tenure-eligible position, candidates must have a strong interest in a career in academic medicine and demonstrate scholarship and excellence in two domains consistent with the requirements for tenure in the School of Medicine. Preference will be given to candidates with an interest in Movement Disorders.

The selected applicant will be required to complete a background check, drug screen, and health assessment prior to their first day of employment per University policy.
This position will remain open until filled.
Candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD, DO or other equivalent terminal degree, and be board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology with special qualifications in child neurology at the time of hire. Specialized fellowship training in a related field is strongly preferred. Evidence of academic productivity is highly valued.
