Alberta Health Services invites applications for a Pediatric Pulmonologist at The Stollery Children's Hospital, one of Canada’s leading quaternary pediatric centres. Academically, the successful candidate will join an established group of academic Pediatric Pulmonologists engaged in undergraduate education, residency and subspecialty training, and scholarly work. The division hosts fully accredited Pediatric Pulmonology and Pediatric Sleep Medicine training programs and maintains an active research culture with strong opportunities for collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric pulmonology care across key areas including sleep medicine, home ventilation, complex asthma, cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, and care for medically complex children within multidisciplinary clinics.
• Teach and mentor medical students, pediatric residents, and subspecialty fellows within a well-established academic training program.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams including pediatric subspecialists, allied health professionals, and complex care programs.

Qualifications

• Board certified in Pediatrics, with completion of an ACGME‑accredited Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship or equivalent training.
• Demonstrated expertise in pediatric respiratory medicine, including care of children with complex acute and chronic pulmonary conditions.
• Interest and experience in academic pediatrics, including teaching, scholarly activity, and research.

Considered an Asset

• Additional training in sleep medicine and/or recent experience caring for pediatric patients with sleep disorders and those requiring long-term invasive or non-invasive ventilation.
• Advanced research training or history of publishing and acquiring funding for research.
• Experience and/or interest in providing rural and remote outreach, virtual care pathways and innovative approaches to patient care.
