issues in the emergency department setting. There is a devoted Psychiatric Area within the ED with a state-of-the-art Psychiatric Pod.
Job Highlights
- Single-location work site at the flagship, downtown hospital with no travel requirements
- Ample teaching and supervision opportunities with accredited 3-year Emergency Medicine and 4-year Psychiatry residency programs, as well as one of the nation’s newest allopathic medical schools – the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, located on campus.
- Innovative telepsychiatry consultation program serving the health system’s satellite EDs
- Flexible shift work (9–10-hour shifts)
- Full-time status requires an average of 130 clinical hours per month (13-15 shifts/month)
- Excellent base compensation as well as additional incentives based on clinical, operational, and academic productivity.

Job Requirements
- Board certification in emergency medicine (ABEM or ABOEM)
- Board certification or board eligibility in psychiatry
- Active clinical practice of emergency medicine
