A well-established inpatient behavioral health hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee is seeking a Locum Psychiatrist to join its team starting February 2nd. This is a high-volume, well-supported role with an initial 3-month agreement and potential for extension.

• Setting: Inpatient Psychiatry
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexible; 8–10+ hour days possible)
• Weekend Coverage: On-site rounding required
• Call: Shared call pool (5:00 PM–8:00 AM)
• Patient Load: 24–30 patients per day
• Patient Population: Ages 12+
• Case Mix: New admissions, follow-ups, and discharges
• Perform initial psychiatric evaluations
• Manage follow-up visits and medication management
• Complete patient discharges
• Participate in weekend rounding and call coverage
• Work alongside other inpatient psychiatry providers
• Dedicated nursing staff and mental health clinicians
• Mid-level providers on site; physician may provide supervision
• EMR system: WellSky
• Active Tennessee medical license (required)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Will accept experience in lieu of fellowship training
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Must be comfortable managing a high-volume inpatient caseload
• Suboxone certification not required
• Medications administered include psychotropics
• Immediate start with ongoing coverage needs
