Corewell Health Medical Group has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a full-time Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Rheumatologist to join our team of 7 physicians. Qualified BC/BE candidates who are committed to excellence in patient care and possess strong clinical skills are welcome to apply.

This position will have the opportunity to work in Holland/Grand Haven and Big Rapids meeting the needs of West Michigan.

• Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
• Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
• Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
• Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
• Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
• Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
• Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate.
• Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.
• Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO)
• Fellowship trained
• Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Michigan
