Community Living Center Medical Director
Location: San Francisco VA Health Care System
Salary: $240,000 - $335,000
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
About the Role:
The San Francisco VA Health Care System is seeking a dedicated and experienced physician to serve as the Medical Director for the Community Living Center (CLC). This leadership role supports high-quality, Veteran-centered care within a dynamic interdisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical leadership for CLC providers and staff
• Oversee medical care delivery for CLC residents
• Support program development and quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with VA standards and accreditation requirements
• Collaborate with nursing, social work, rehabilitation, and administrative teams
• Participate in strategic planning for Geriatrics & Extended Care services
Qualifications:
• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (Geriatrics preferred)
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
• Experience in geriatrics, long-term care, or post-acute care strongly preferred
• Leadership experience a plus
