  • Join our team at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC) in Fort Hood, TX, providing exceptional neurological care to active-duty service members and their families in a collaborative military treatment facility.

    • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of neurological conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
    • Provide consultations for urgent, emergency, and complex neurological disorders, including stroke, epilepsy, headaches, movement disorders, neuromuscular disease, dementia, sleep disorders, multiple sclerosis, tumors, trauma, infections, and metabolic conditions.
    • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including laboratory, radiology, and electrophysiological testing.
    • Develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, coordinate specialty referrals, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Admit patients as clinically indicated and document all encounters in the electronic health record.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, medical staff education, and clinical training opportunities.

    Providers may be scheduled between 5:30 AM and 11:00 PM, with shifts of up to 16 hours, including weekends and holidays. Participation in on-call and call-back coverage is required, with response times of 30 minutes when activated.

    • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
    • Board Certified in Neurology.
    • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency.
    • Minimum 2 years of post-residency clinical experience within the past 3 years.
    • Current, unrestricted Texas medical license.
    • Current DEA registration.
    • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
    • U.S. citizenship required for government computer system access.
    • Ability to obtain required background/security clearance.
