Job Highlights

  • Area Is Warm Year-Round
  • Opportunity to Give Back to an Underserved Community
  • Foster Crown: Ongoing Emergency Medicine Locums — West AR

Steady, single-coverage shifts, a straightforward in-house schedule, and stackable pay make this an appealing ongoing opportunity for Emergency Medicine physicians across four Western Arkansas Critical Access facilities.

    ● Ongoing Locums Need — covering four Critical Access EDs within an integrated regional health system

    ● Consistent 24-Hour Shifts (6a–6a) — single coverage; physician remains in-house for the full shift with no on-call component.

Stackable shifts: 24 on, 12 off, 12 on

    ● Option for shorter shifts based on preference

This Emergency Medicine locums opportunity supports four critical access hospitals in Western Arkansas for a regional health system. Each site

operates a single-physician, mixed-certification ED (ABEM or ABFM) staffing model with an on-site hospitalist service handling non-ED

admitting orders, and no NP/PA coverage. All sites are designated Level 5 trauma facilities coordinating transfers through the Arkansas Trauma

Communications Center, with the majority of transfers routed to a regional referral center in Fort Smith. The recruiting need arose after several

physicians left the state, creating ongoing scheduling gaps across the group. Physicians comfortable working independently in a lower-acuity,

high-autonomy critical access setting will find this a rewarding, steady assignment.

    About Foster Crown, LLC

    PHYSICIANS:
Foster Crown is a first-of-its-kind physician management and consulting firm, dedicated to acting as a true advocate for clinicians at every stage of their career. We negotiate competitive rates and contract terms on physicians’ behalf, drawing on specialty-specific market intelligence to support informed, confident decision-making. Beyond negotiation, we handle the business side — malpractice coverage, credentialing, invoicing, and logistics — allowing physicians to stay focused on what matters most: patient care. Whether pursuing 1099 independent contractor work, locum tenens, or W-2 permanent placement, we tailor the engagement to fit each physician’s goals, and we always safeguard confidentiality, never presenting a physician for an opportunity or sharing a CV without explicit consent.

    APPROACH
Foster Crown takes a boutique, relationship-driven approach to physician staffing, built on deep specialty expertise rather than high-volume, transactional placements. Our exclusive network, built through trusted physician ambassadors and doc-to-doc referrals, sets us apart in how we source and connect talent with opportunity.

Our signature “Foster Crown Fly In-Fly Out” model reflects this approach in action: physicians retain autonomy over scheduling and compensation, while facilities get a reliable, cost-effective way to fill critical needs. It’s a model built on trust and transparency for both sides of the table — proof that strong outcomes for physicians and facilities alike, aren’t mutually exclusive; they’re the result staffing done right.
