Ansible Government Solutions is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Radiologist to provide comprehensive IR services at the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System – Brooklyn Campus. This is a long-term 1099 opportunity offering premium compensation, a predictable weekday schedule, and a highly attractive call structure.

• $430/hour for on-site clinical coverage
• Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Optional weekday and weekend call participation
• $50/hour standby compensation for all on-call hours
• Approximately $6,275/week guaranteed standby compensation while assigned to call
• $430/hour callback rate if required to report on-site
• Average callback frequency across all providers is approximately 15 times per year
• Malpractice insurance provided at no cost

Provide a full spectrum of Interventional Radiology services, including but not limited to:

• Angiography
• Balloon angioplasty and stent placement
• Embolization and chemoembolization
• Thrombolysis
• Image-guided biopsies
• Radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation
• TIPS placement
• Vertebroplasty
• Cholecystostomy
• Nephrostomy placement
• Dialysis access procedures
• IVC filter placement
• Central venous access procedures
• Biliary interventions

Additional duties include:

• Review and triage consults and procedural requests
• Develop appropriate treatment plans
• Manage post-procedure follow-up and complications
• Communicate findings with referring providers and patients
• Document services within the VA Electronic Health Record
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
• Attend required clinical and departmental meetings
• Complete patient safety and quality reporting requirements

Providers participating in call must:

• Be available by telephone within 15 minutes
• Be able to report on-site within 60 minutes if called in

Despite call availability requirements, actual callback volume remains very low, averaging approximately 15 callbacks annually per provider.

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology
• American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification
• Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
• Active DEA registration
• Active NPI number
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Eligible for VA credentialing and federal background investigation
