How you'll make an impact in this role

Peyton Manning Children's Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) with experience in congenital heart disease to join our Heart Center team. Incoming APP will be involved with our congenital heart surgery practice as part of a highly-specialized team in the inpatient and outpatient settings. We are excited to share our collaboration between Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent and Cincinnati Children's Hospital  that will enhance Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery services throughout our statewide ministry. This alignment brings world-class congenital heart surgery and cardiac care closer to the homes of the patients and families we serve.

Ranked as the No. 1 pediatric health system in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, Cincinnati Children's is working with our ministry to provide exceptional care for children with cardiac disorders. This encompasses the following:

  • Consultative support, including reviewing test results and/or providing second opinions
  • Shared decision-making through joint case conferences of surgeons, cardiologists and other specialists to determine the optimal site of care
  • Integrated care management, including virtual care management and surgical planning

Our relationship with Cincinnati Children's strengthens our existing heart program at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital. This relationship enhances our Mission of sustaining and improving the health of those we serve by ensuring our youngest patients receive the level of care they need, when and where they need it.

Through the Peyton Manning Children's Health system at Ascension St. Vincent your family will get faster access to more than 100 highly experienced pediatric specialists. A majority of these physicians are double board certified in pediatrics and in one of 40 different pediatric specialties and multidisciplinary programs.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Master's degree of Nursing required.
