Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Pediatric Cardiology team at Seattle Children’s. In this role, you will provide longitudinal outpatient care (and occasional inpatient care) for children with cardiac conditions. You’ll assess, diagnose, manage, and follow-up with patients and families, collaborate with a multidisciplinary heart-care team, and contribute to high-quality pediatric cardiac care in a supportive, academic-level environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary clinician for pediatric cardiology patients across multiple ambulatory clinic sites (and sometimes inpatient), managing care independently when appropriate
- Obtain histories, perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests), and develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions appropriate for pediatric cardiac patients
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other specialists to coordinate care, referrals, and transitions
- Participate in ongoing case and chronic-care management — including follow-up plans, patient education, and continuity of care
- Engage in quality improvement, patient/family education, and contribute to research or departmental improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (pediatric or family NP) or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Active, unrestricted Washington State ARNP license (for NP) or PA-C license (for PA)
- National certification (pediatric or family NP, or NCCPA for PA)
- DEA certification (or eligibility)
- Current BLS (or equivalent pediatric life-support certification, as required)
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a pediatric or family-care setting; prior pediatric cardiology or specialty care experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, communication, and teamwork skills
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Primarily outpatient pediatric cardiology clinic environment, with occasionally inpatient or hospital-based follow-up as needed
- Work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to pediatric cardiac care
- Manage a diverse pediatric patient population with a wide range of cardiac diagnoses and needs

Compensation:
- Annual Salary Range: $131,821 - $193,872 (depending on experience and qualifications)
- Eligible for full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement, PTO, etc.)
