Practice Opportunity Specifics

  • 10 APPs and 10 Physicians in the practice
  • Rotating call 1:8-10 days including weekends/holidays
  • Coverage at Copley Surgery Center and 2 Copley Clinics (Aurora and Yorkville)
  • Operating Room/Inpatient/Outpatient Responsibilities

About the Position:

The Orthopedic Surgery Department at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider. The department is a well-established and expert team that offers comprehensive care for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

The ideal candidate will have a background in orthopedic medicine, a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient satisfaction, and a proven track record of clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Orthopedic Surgery is preferred. Relevant RN experience may be considered.

** Required Master's Degree*

**Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association*

** Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) - Required; or Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification - Required*

** APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification and First Assistant Certification*

Position Requirements: Nurse Practitioner:

  • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse *

Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position *

Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
* Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license * APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification and First Assistant Certification
* Must maintain Rush University Medical Center (RUMC), Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH), and Rush Copley Medical Center (RCMC) clinical privileges, as applicable.
* CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.
* Excellent communicator
* Experience treating patients of all ages
* Procedural experience (simple laceration repair, I&D)

Physician Assistant:

  • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate
  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program
  • Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
  • Must maintain Rush University Medical Center (RUMC), Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH), and Rush Copley Medical Center (RCMC) clinical privileges, as applicable
  • Excellent communicator
  • Experience treating patients of all ages
  • Procedural experience (simple laceration repair, I&D)

Compensation Details

$106K–$168K

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
