Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinic-based care, including patient evaluations, documentation, and coordination
- Serve as first assist in the operating room for spine procedures
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative care, including education and follow-up
- Manage patient communications and clinical questions (phone, EMR messaging)
- Conduct peer-to-peer reviews for insurance authorization
- Support post-operative management, including inpatient rounding, recovery monitoring, and wound care
- Opportunity to develop and lead independent clinics over time
Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience
- At least one year of experience as a certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a focus in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery.
- Experience in Robotics/First Assist is highly preferred.
License/Certification
- Current, unrestricted California PA license.
- DEA License required.
- National PA certification.
- ACLS Life Support certification.
