Open Rank, Clinical Faculty (Division Chief) - Surgery, Colon and Rectal

The Division Chief will develop a vision and strategic direction for the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery and provide leadership, supervision, and accountability to fulfill the administrative, clinical, educational, and research missions of the DeWitt Daughtry Department of Surgery and UHealth. The Division Chief is directly responsible to the Chair, Department of Surgery, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, for the Division's overall function. The Chief will also serve as the Chief Surgical Officer for the specialty at Jackson Health System. The performance of the Chief shall be evaluated annually by the Chair of the Department of Surgery based on the effectiveness of his/her leadership role and the satisfactory execution of duties.

Education Requirements:
Applicants should be strongly committed to patient care and education and interested in basic science and/or clinical research.
* Must possess an MD degree
* Must be board-certified in general surgery
* Completed a colon and rectal fellowship
* 3 – 5 years of leadership experience preferred
* Able to obtain a Florida medical license
