Locum Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Critical Care

Regional Medical Center – Bloomington, IL Area Locum Opportunity | 12-Hour Shifts | ICU Setting

A Regional Medical Center located in the Bloomington, IL area is seeking an experienced Locum Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join its growing Critical Care team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative ICU environment with strong physician and e-ICU support.

📍 Location

Bloomington area Active Illinois license required

🏥 Facility Overview

• Current ICU capacity: 14 beds (with planned expansion)
• Collaborative care model with on-site physicians, fellow APPs, and e-ICU team support
• High-acuity, critically ill patient population

📅 Scheduling Requirements

• Minimum of 4 or more consecutive shifts required
• Weekend-only availability accepted
• 12-hour shifts (Days or Nights)
• Sunday through Saturday coverage model

👩‍⚕️ Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage 5–10 ICU patients per shift
• Participate in ICU rounds at 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM
• Deliver high-quality critical care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team

Procedural Expectations

APPs should be comfortable performing:

• Central Venous Catheter (CVC) placement
• Arterial line placement
• Hemodialysis (HD) line placement
• Intubations (based on skill level and comfort)

🤝 Team Collaboration

• Work closely with on-site physicians
• Collaborate with other APPs
• Utilize e-ICU support as needed

✅ Requirements

• Active Illinois NP or PA license
• Critical care experience preferred
• Strong procedural competency
• Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative communication
