Arc Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our team providing high-quality emergency and urgent care services at our partner tribal facility in Shiprock, NM.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver care in a dynamic, rural setting while working alongside a compassionate and mission-focused team dedicated to serving Indigenous communities.
The facility is located in Shiprock, New Mexico, and is part of the Shiprock Service Unit (SRSU) — the largest geographical service unit of the Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS).
- 69-bed hospital and a key referral center within the Navajo Nation.
- The Emergency Department is a Level IV Trauma Center, operating 24/7 and certified as Peds Ready by the NM EMS for Children and UNM Child Ready Program.
- Staff includes 50+ physicians, a 5-bed ICU, and dedicated support for urgent and emergent care.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team providing comprehensive emergency and urgent care services to a diverse patient population.
Average Patient Volume:
- Super Track: Avg. 14 patients/day (per group), 12–19 patients/day (per provider). 10 hour shifts.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, and chronic conditions in an Emergency Room/fast track setting
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams across the lifespan
- Coordinate care and consult with collaborating physicians or specialists
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Requirements:
- Board-certified NP or PA-C
- Current, unrestricted license and DEA in any U.S. state or territory
- Certified in ACLS, BLS, ATLS, and PALS
- No lapse in clinical practice > 6 months prior to assignment
- Strong emergency experience required
- Committed to rural, Tribal, and underserved healthcare
- Compassionate and mission-aligned with social medicine values
- Must be able to work 5-10 shifts a month (block schedule)
