How you'll make an impact in this role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to join an employed part time position within a busy, well-respected emergency department, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
* Join an established team of 7 physicians and 3 APPs
* Call structure: Backup Rotation
* Practice setting: Emergency Department
* Access to support staff, 24/7 emergency care, accredited geriatric emergency care, admission (when needed) to Wamego Health Center, on-site full-service digital imaging, on-site lab, private treatment rooms
* Employed position within a nonprofit health system
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
* Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
* Provide timely, high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages
* Evaluate, diagnose and manage acute illness and injuries
* Stabilize patients and coordinate transfers where higher levels of care are required
* Perform emergency procedures as clinically indicated
* Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

What minimum requirements you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
