Schedule
- Monday – Friday schedule with some flexibility
- Standard hours: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- No call responsibilities
Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced or New graduates are welcome, especially those with prior nursing experience
- Comfortable practicing independently with regular communication and collaboration with supervising physician
- Experience with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced knowledge to collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team in providing medical interventions for acute, chronic, and resolving patient conditions.
- Assess age-appropriate patients presenting with acute and chronic health conditions by obtaining history and performing physical exams; prescribe appropriate pharmacologic agents.
- Plan patient care by making comprehensive clinical decisions based on diagnostic results and professional judgment; develop and implement treatment plans and provide patient education.
- Demonstrate proficient problem-solving skills by making competent clinical decisions, consulting physicians as needed, and involving management when appropriate.
- Apply evidence-based practices to facilitate multidisciplinary collaboration, ensuring continuity of care and appropriate patient referrals to community healthcare resources.
- Maintain effective communication with staff to ensure positive dissemination of information and support achievement of departmental goals and compliance with documentation standards.
- Take responsibility for ongoing professional development through competency validation, evidence-based care delivery, and continuing education.
- Evaluate patient care practices to identify needs and optimize outcomes.
- Promote positive health behaviors and self-care through education and counseling.
- Provide telemedicine and telehealth services when applicable.
- Maintain a constant state of alertness and practice safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- Graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education for licensing
Experience
- At least 1 year of experience as a nurse practitioner or 2 years of registered nurse experience in an acute care setting
