Quick Facts

• 12-hour shifts 8 am - 8 pm with on-call coverage 8 pm - 8 am
• 15 - 20 patients per day plus 5 procedures daily
• 239-bed hospital department
• Ongoing coverage for 9 - 12 months
• Requires 200 therapeutic ERCP procedures and sphincterotomy experience
• Both inpatient and outpatient rounding required
• 0 - 10 phone consults during call hours with 1 - 3 callbacks weekly
• Upper GI endoscopy and PEG procedures required
