Phoenix Children's is actively seeking a Physician Assistant to join their esteemed Inpatient Pediatric Hematology team here in Phoenix, AZ!

This APP position will have primary responsibility for the Benign Hematology patient population. The successful provider will have responsibility for both pediatric and adult hospitalized hematology patients on primary or consultative service. Prior pediatric hematology experience preferred, although not required.

​

The successful individual is expected to work collaboratively with other providers within the hematology team and the broader CCBD to help with completion of projects as they are identified. Participation in focused quality or research projects, in conjunction with the hematology team, is also encouraged.

Job Details

1. Duties would include evaluating patients including new consultation with provider supervision
2. Ordering medications and necessary blood products
3. Managing prescriptions
4. Radiology and home care orders
5. Educating patients and their families on active issues and therapeutic changes
6. Interacting with appropriate consultants
7. Assistance with data monitoring related to this patient population,
8. Scheduling appropriate follow up for patients
