Job Responsibilities: • The APP Surgical NCI provides healthcare to patients with an emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion, health maintenance and supportive care. The APP works independently, as well as collaboratively, to diagnose, prescribe treatment, manage and evaluate patient care and under the direct supervision of the surgeon is in the operating room 50% or more of the time. The APP functions as an educator, healthcare resource, interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate. This individual makes patient rounds in the hospitals and may be required to take call. Required: • Three years of healthcare experience as an RN, APRN, or Physician Assistant (PA) • Master Degree Nursing or Physician Assistant Program • One of: NNP or PA AND One of: CSFA or SAC Desired: • Previous surgical experience • Doctorate Degree • Certified Surgical First Assistant Certified Surgical First Assistant or Certified Surgical Assistant OR Surgical Assistant Certified Certified Surgical First Assistant or Certified Surgical Assistant OR National Nurse Practitioner National Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant OR Physician Assistant (State) National Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
