Physician Assistant Hospitalist - Carlsbad NM

Carlsbad Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our hospitalist team in a hospital-employed role. This position offers flexibility in scheduling, strong physician collaboration, and the opportunity to provide high-quality inpatient care in a supportive community hospital setting. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care for hospitalized patients
• Perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing care
• Collaborate with hospitalists, physicians, nursing staff, and specialists
• Participate in admissions, rounding, and cross-coverage duties
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the EMR system
• Support safe, high-quality, patient-centered care delivery

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current New Mexico PA license (or eligibility for licensure)
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a hospital-based team environment
• Prior inpatient experience preferred but not required (based on role expectations)
