  • The Phoenix Area Indian Health Service is seeking a BC/BE General Pediatrician at various sites in AZ and CA to provide care to underserved Native American populations.     Practice Details: Choose a site that allows primary care physicians the chance to do it all - Patient-Centered Medical Home services, flexible schedules, no call, weekends, evenings, or holidays. If desired and depending on the facility, there may be potential to work in an Emergency Department, Inpatient Department, and/or in the community.

    Position Highlights:

    1. Generous vacation and sick leave, with 11 Federal holidays paid/off, and CME leave; may total up to 55 days off a year
    2. Competitive salary, with regular salary increases, yearly performance awards and cost of living adjustments
    3. Paid CME time and financial allowance; free (no fee) federal DEA
    4. Only 1 full and unrestricted license from any US state needed
    5. Qualifies for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (Direct Loans, forgiven after 120 payments if working full-time)

    All sites have access to multiple ambulatory services, including lab, pharmacy, and radiology capacity. PCPs average 16 appts/d. Four-day work weeks may be available at various clinic sites. Each site has an opportunity for personal and professional growth, support from seasoned peers, and leadership potential.

    • Whiteriver Indian Hospital - Hospital in rural Whiteriver, AZ

    Site in CALIFORNIA:

    • Fort Yuma Health Care Center - Ambulatory center in suburban Winterhaven, CA

    All sites are very supportive of newly graduated residents, providing mentoring and experienced peer support, and make excellent first jobs (and great careers), with a focus on quality, not quantity!

    Compensation Details

    $200-300k
