How you'll make an impact in this role
Ascension Via Christi is seeking a Board Certified Pediatrician to join our Family Medicine Faculty team in Wichita, Kansas.
Position Highlights:
- Flexible scheduling with 0.5 FTE (halftime) to full-time options.
- Provide high-quality pediatric care while partnering with family medicine residents in an academic teaching environment.
- Opportunity to provide inpatient newborn care, if desired.
- One of the largest Family Medicine Residency programs in the nation, known for training physicians who practice full-scope Family Medicine.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat pediatric patients using appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills; collaborate with care teams to coordinate patient care.
- Recommend, participates in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
- Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.

What minimum requirements you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
