Job Summary:

We seek a recognized leader with proven leadership and management skills as well as an outstanding academic background. The chair will provide strategic and administrative leadership of the highest quality to the department as well as the school and its academic health system in its research, teaching, and clinical missions.

The School of Medicine and Public Health has a deep and profound commitment to diversity both as an end in itself but also as a valuable means for eliminating health disparities.

Responsibilities:

The chair will be responsible for creating a compelling vision and advancing the academic and clinical missions of the department. The chair will also play a key leadership role within the School of Medicine and Public Health, UW Health (the university's academic health system), the University, the community and the profession.

The successful candidate will have a compelling vision for the future of Pediatrics in a leading research-intensive public academic institution.

Education:

Required
Terminal Degree
MD, MD/PhD, DO or equivalent, Pediatrics

Qualifications:

Substantial background and experience in administrative leadership, clinical care, teaching and research, including training programs for the full continuum of pediatrics learners, and a strong academic background that would qualify for appointment as a tenured faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

License/Certification:

Required
BCP - Bd Cert Pediatrics
Board Certified in Pediatrics; eligible for Wisconsin Medical License
