Job Summary:

The Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting a Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy (SCTCT) Physician. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience in caring for patients undergoing stem cell transplantation and other cellular therapies like CAR T therapy. Special consideration will be made for candidates interested in neuroblastoma. Leadership opportunities within our stem cell transplant program are available, commensurate with experience. The Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant is located in the Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Research building next to the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Its experts are active in the UW Carbone Cancer Center, Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Center, Program for Advanced Cell Therapy (a GMP facility dedicated to supporting UW faculty projects), and Wisconsin Blood Cancer Research Institute. Division members participate in numerous research consortia including the COG, PTCTC, PIDTC, POETIC, MARCH, NEXT, POETIC, St. Baldrick's Empowering Pediatric Immunotherapies for Childhood Cancer Team, and the Pediatric Cancer Immunotherapy Trials Network. We encourage translation of laboratory research into clinical trials at the adjacent American Family Children's Hospital, which is ranked as one of the top 50 Pediatric Cancer programs nationally by US News and World Report. Our SCTCT program includes a hematopoietic cell processing facility that has been FACT accredited since 2001, and it conducts novel investigator-initiated therapeutic trials such as using alpha/beta T cell depleted haploidentical transplantation for the treatment of relapsed pediatric solid tumors. In addition, we are a certified Kymriah treatment center and participate in a number of consortium and industry-sponsored cell therapy trials.
