How you'll make an impact in this role
The Neonatal Physician Assistant Residency at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital is an intensive, postgraduate training program designed to prepare Physician Assistants for practice in high-acuity neonatal intensive care units. The Neonatal PA Resident will be exposed to structured didactic curriculum, clinical training in a level IV NICU, and mentorship from a team of 17 Neonatologists and 30+ APPs (Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants). After completion of the 12 month program, the Neonatal PA resident will have the knowledge, procedural skills, and clinical judgment required to care for the most critically ill newborns.

* Physician Assistant, board certified/eligible and must have Indiana License or must be eligible
* Practice setting: Inpatient NICU
* Newborn and sick neonate care of a large variety - surgical, cardiac and neurosurgical services in addition to small baby program for infants 22-27 weeks gestation
* Work in a brand new state of the art building with 109 private room NICU beds

What minimum requirements you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required:
- Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Physician Assistant credentialed from the Indiana Physician Assistant Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
- 1 year of experience preferred.
