Neurology Clinic APP | $10K Commitment Bonus + Relocation Assistance | Attractive Benefits Package

Duke Neurology Clinic is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) located on Duke’s main campus in Durham, NC, to work in collaboration with attending physicians and APPs.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physician in diagnosing epilepsy and prescribing necessary treatment and services for quality patient care
• Take patient histories conduct physical examinations; write progress notes; prepare patient workups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings; obtain psychosocial history relevant to patient care, and assume responsibility for developing therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
• Participation in clinical research or teaching opportunities are available based on discussion with supervising neurologists.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, day shift, with flexibility to meet clinic needs. Clinic sessions are 8 half-day clinic sessions per week with patients with epilepsy and will include a combination of in-person clinic and telehealth visits.

Education and Experience

Nurse Practitioners from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master's degree in Nursing. Physician Assistants with completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred.

This position is eligible for a $10,000 Commitment bonus and relocation assistance is also available.
