Position Type: Part-time leadership role (0.2 FTE) with clinical practice (80% clinical, 20% leadership) within the Neurosciences Clinical Program.

About the Opportunity:

Join a thriving neurosciences program with remarkable provider retention and stability. Our team includes neurosurgeons with up to 21 years of tenure and neurologists who have been with us for 7+ years. The Neuroscience clinical program is supported by 8 dedicated APPs in neurosurgery and 5 in neurology, some with over 20 years of experience. Within the Wisconsin Region of SSM Health, the Neurosurgery program is based at SSM St. Mary's Hospital - Madison, a tertiary care referral center and the Neurology program is based at multiple sites throughout the region (SSM Health Monroe Clinic, SSM Health St. Mary's - Madison, SSM Health St. Mary's - Janesville and SSM Health St. Agnes Fond du Lac).

As Regional Clinical Program Director, you will:

  • Partner with an experienced administrative dyad
  • Participate in the SSM System Neuroscience Clinical Program Council
  • Participate in monthly steering committee meetings
  • Maintain flexible clinical scheduling
  • Implement best practices across the neurosciences service line regionally
  • Contribute to HR leadership initiatives

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Board-certified Neurologist or Neurosurgeon
  • Interest in leadership development and program growth
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Experience in implementing best practices and prior leadership experience preferred
  • Collaborative leadership style

Our Program:

The Neurosciences Clinical Program covers multiple sites within Wisconsin and consists of range of services from community based Neurology to comprehensive tertiary Neurology and Neurosurgery services at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison.

  • Full diagnostic and treatment capabilities in nearly all sub-specialty fields
  • 4 Endovascular Surgeons / Thrombectomy Capable Center (working to comprehensive) at St. Mary's Madison
  • Stroke programs at St. Agnes, Primary Stroke Center certified by the Joint Commission and Janesville, WI,Acute Stroke Ready certified.
  • Full-time daily coverage by neuro-hospitalists at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison
  • High-functioning, cohesive team environment

The program's founder, Dr. Jeff Masciopinto, who established this successful program in 2020, will be available for mentorship and guidance as you transition into this leadership role.
