Overview:
Banner University Medical Group Phoenix, in partnership with the University of Arizona, is actively seeking a fellowship-trained Endovascular Neurosurgeon to join our distinguished Clinical Faculty team. This role is centered at Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix, a premier Level I trauma center and one of Arizona's most comprehensive facilities, serving as a tertiary hub for the metropolitan Phoenix.
Position Highlights:
- Engage in a robust endovascular neurosurgery practice, addressing complex cerebrovascular conditions such as intracranial aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, ischemic strokes, and other vascular pathologies.
- Perform advanced minimally invasive procedures, including but not limited to:
- Mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke
- Endovascular coiling and stenting for aneurysm management
- Embolization techniques for AVMs and dural arteriovenous fistulas
- Carotid artery angioplasty and stenting
- Cerebral and spinal angiography
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team comprising neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuroradiologists, and critical care specialists to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Contribute to the education and mentorship of residents and medical students through the University of Arizona's neurosurgery residency program. Opportunities for research and scholarly activities are encouraged and supported.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree with eligibility for Arizona medical licensure by the start date.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurosurgery.
- Completion of an accredited fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery or Interventional Neuroradiology.
- Demonstrated proficiency in both open and endovascular neurosurgical techniques.
- Commitment to academic excellence and resident education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing high-acuity neurovascular cases in a Level I trauma center setting.
- Interest in developing and leading clinical research initiatives within the department.
