About the Opportunity: As Division Chief, you will lead and expand a premier program encompassing Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, PET/CT research, and Radiotheranostics. Our state-of-the-art facilities, located within Duke University Hospital, foster a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration across cardiology, oncology, endocrinology, neurological sciences, and the prestigious Duke Cancer Institute. Your leadership will directly influence clinical practice, pioneering research, and academic growth.

  • Lead a dynamic, comprehensive suite of state-of-the-art services, featuring our nationally recognized Duke Nuclear Cardiology Program, pioneering Research PET/CT Center, and our advanced Radiotheranostics programthe first of its kind in the region dedicated to imaging and therapy of prostate cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, and other cancers.
  • Foster groundbreaking collaborations with multidisciplinary teams across Duke Cancer Institute, GI/GU Oncology, Neurosciences, Cardiology, and Endocrinology, driving forward clinical excellence and impactful patient outcomes.
  • Engage in rich teaching opportunities within one of the nation's largest and most prestigious radiology residency and fellowship training programs, mentoring approximately 50 residents and overseeing the fellowship program.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified in Radiology, with subspecialty fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Proven record of academic achievement, including high-impact peer-reviewed publications, focused thematic research, and/or successful acquisition of grant funding.
  • Demonstrated excellence and commitment in providing high-quality clinical care.
  • Eligibility for appointment at Duke University at the academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
  • Strong history of scholarly contributions and a clear passion for advancing the field of academic medicine.
