Regional Medical Officer – PM Pediatric Care

PM Pediatric Care is seeking a Regional Medical Officer (RMO) to provide clinical leadership while maintaining an active clinical practice. This physician leader partners closely with operations and clinical excellence teams to support provider development, quality initiatives, recruitment, and regional performance across multiple urgent care locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead provider onboarding, training, mentorship, and ongoing clinical education.

• Support provider recruitment by interviewing candidates, coordinating shadow shifts, and making hiring recommendations.

• Coach providers on clinical documentation, coding, resource utilization, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Partner with operations leadership on provider scheduling, productivity, and coverage needs.

• Review patient safety events and medical complaints, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective action plans.

• Mentor providers requiring additional support and collaborate on performance improvement plans.

• Serve as Clinical Lab Director, Radiography Safety Officer, and Collaborating Physician for Advanced Practice Providers, as applicable.

• Provide regional leadership support and participate in Administrator-On-Call responsibilities.

Clinical Commitment

26–32 hours of direct patient care per week, based on regional needs and determined by leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACGME or AOA accredited Pediatric or Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency program.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (ABP) or Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM).

• Active or eligible state medical license and DEA certification.

• Eligible for credentialing and clinical privileges.

• Experience with provider education, mentorship, quality improvement, or clinical leadership is preferred.
