How you'll make an impact in this role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to join a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
* Join an established team of physicians and nurse practitioner support
* Call structure: 1 week once every 3 weeks (averaging 1-2 phone calls per night)
* Practice setting: Inpatient / Outpatient mix
* Access to Athena (clinic) and Sunrise Clinical Manager (inpatient) EMR, 10 exam rooms, specialized subspecialty clinics (pre-diabetes, metabolic bone, and lipid), and robust triage nurse support
* Employed position within a nonprofit health system
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology
* Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
* Provide high-quality endocrine care across outpatient, inpatient, and new patient populations, including conducting hospital consultations and assisting with specialized pre-diabetes, lipid, or metabolic bone clinics.
* Collaborate with and provide clinical oversight to an experienced support team, including nurse practitioners and triage nurses, while having the flexibility to expand and explore personal pediatric endocrinology clinical interests.
* Fellowship training in Pediatric Endocrinology required

- 197-bed pediatric facility (including 40 private inpatient beds, 8 short-stay beds, 23 PICU beds, 17 Pediatric ED beds, and a 109-bed Level IV NICU)
- Trauma designation (Pediatric Trauma services available onsite)
- Serving a population of approximately 2 million in the greater Indianapolis metropolitan area

What minimum requirements you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
