Aya Locums is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Endocrinologist to support a high-demand pediatric practice in North Carolina. This is a great opportunity to join a well-supported team and work in a collaborative environment with multiple pediatric subspecialties.

🔹 Assignment Details: 🔹 Work Details:

  • Coverage Type: Clinic + Call
  • Schedule:
  • Minimum 2 weeks/month required
  • Clinic: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
  • Call:
  • 1 weekend + 1 week per month (TBD)
  • Hospital call: 8 AM–5 PM (by phone only – no expectation to be on-site)
  • Pager call: 8 AM–8 AM (phone consults only)
  • Call is attending-to-attending only
  • No discharge notes or care plans required
  • Rounding: Main hospital only (before clinic or during midday flex time)
  • Support Staff:
  • RNs, CMAs, 1 full-time MD, 1 part-time MD, and 1 N
  • Average Daily Census: 10–12 patients/day
  • 60 min for new patients
  • 30 min for follow-ups
  • Patient Population: Birth to age 21
  • Conditions Treated:
  • Adrenal gland disorders, Diabetes, Growth disorders, Puberty issues, Lipid disorders, Thyroid issues, Obesity, Pituitary disorders, Menstrual disorders, Vitamin D deficiency, etc.
  • Collaborative Specialties Onsite:
  • Pediatric Neurology, Genetics, Surgery, GI, Pulmonology, NICU Follow-Up, Development & Behavior
