Set to open in early 2024, our new state of the art full-service hospital in Austin will increase access to quality healthcare for children and women across central Texas. This position is a rare opportunity to participate in the start, growth and expansion of a BRAND-NEW medical facility and campus aimed to serve the growing population of Austin Texas. This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up with the support and resources of a nationally ranked Children’s Hospital.
Position Highlights:
Join our nationally recognized team of OB/Gyn specialists as we seek to hire a full-time clinical- physician in Maternal-Fetal Medicine to provide care at our Austin, Texas location.
- Provide contribution related to program growth, support quality and safety, drive and maintain clinical excellence and innovation, and serve as a clinical physician capacity within the division.
- Provide specialized care to address/diagnose challenges and complications related to high-risk pregnancy and delivery, including ultrasound, fetal blood sampling/transfusion, intrauterine blood transfusions, Chorionic villus sampling (CVS), and amniocentesis among other methods of care.
- Work in collaboration with members of our placenta accreta spectrum, fetal intervention and critical care teams.
- Participation in academic support, mentoring and teaching residents and fellows in partnership with Baylor College of Medicine.
- Opportunities to participate in academic research efforts related to Maternal-Fetal Medicine studies.
- Opportunities in the inpatient, but mostly outpatient setting(s).
Qualifications:
- An academic record consistent with appointment as an assistant level or associate professor is desired.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong MFM/obstetrics background, be comfortable in both an inpatient/outpatient setting, and share the group’s passion for providing care for high-risk pregnancies.
- Applicants must have an M.D., or D.O. or equivalent degree and be BC/BE Fellowship trained in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active Texas medical license.
