Medical Director Role: Part-Time, Partnership Potential, Flexible Scheduling

Part-Time Pediatrician Opportunity in Rockaway Park, Queens, NY🚨

OVERVIEW: There is a new opportunity for a new part-time Pediatric Medical Director to join an established pediatric practice. Great opportunity for pediatricians who want leadership/admin time while ultimately still seeing patients. Of the part-time 16-24 hours/week schedule, roughly 8 hours are administrative and the rest is clinical with a part-time salary equivalent of up to $170/hour.

ABOUT THE PRACTICE: This well-established pediatric private practice is fully outpatient and staffed exclusively by pediatricians. There are no APPs to supervise, and the new pediatrician can enjoy a collaborative setting with predictable workflows and a loyal patient base. Melissa has previously placed a permanent pediatrician and PNPs who are still happily with the practice.

POSITION DETAILS:

• Permanent, part-time Pediatric Medical Director role
  • Clinical and administrative duties
  • Administrative duties include: Clinical leadership & operations, hiring, staff management & HR collaboration, policy, compliance & strategic oversight, conflict resolutions, and handling escalated patient issues
• Fully outpatient duties (no rounding) with triage support
• Part-time: Flexible 2 or 3 day work week (negotiable)
• Rotate afterhours call (by phone) with other pediatricians
• May need to pick up occasional weekend shifts to support team, however, will mainly be weekday shifts
• Part-time salary equivalent: $125 to $170, based on hours and experience
• Potential partnership track (optional)

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) / Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Have complete Pediatric Residency
• Board Certified
• Clean medical license record/no malpractice suits
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience required
• Demonstrated clinical leadership experience
• Strong organizational, communication, and team management skills
