Pediatric Transplant Hepatologist

Key Job Responsibilities:
Provide clinical service to pediatric liver transplant and pediatric liver and GI patients, both in the pediatric liver clinic and pediatric liver transplant clinics. Inpatient GI service is shared between all providers within the division. Provide pre-op and post-op care to pediatric liver transplant patients.
Engage in clinical teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students, and support the teaching and clinical research missions of the division and department.
Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health (applicable to Physicians hired on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track)). An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
Carry out independent research/scholarly activity in an area of interest (CHS Track only)
Required Qualifications:
- Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology (Certificate of Added Qualification) from the American Board of Pediatrics is required by the appointment start date.
- Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Pediatric Transplant Hepatology is required by the appointment start date.
- Completion of an ACGME-approved pediatric residency program is required by the start date of the position.
- WI Medical license by start date of position.
- Board-certified or board eligible in Pediatrics by start date of position.
- Completion of a US ACGME-approved pediatric residency program by the start date of the position.
- Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges, by the start date of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CT or CHS track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS or CT track.
Education:
- MD, DO, or equivalent is required
