Volunteer Opportunity with HUDA Clinic

HUDA Clinic is the largest free clinic in Michigan, serving patients who are uninsured or underinsured. “Underinsured” includes individuals who may have only Medicare Part A, emergency-services-only Medicaid, or insurance plans that provide little more than catastrophic coverage, often with deductibles or copays that are unaffordable on fixed incomes. The clinic does not bill or collect payment from any third-party payors.

Our patients are primarily the working poor and senior citizens managing month-to-month on fixed incomes, often in a cost-of-living environment that continues to outpace their income. We offer a robust suite of medical services to our patients including primary care, dental, pharmacy services, nephrology, endocrinology, cardiology, amongst others, but could use your help filling in some of the gaps. We would be happy to have you see patients at our site, or if it is easier for you to see a set number of patients at your office pro bono.
