🔸 Assignment highlights

• Inpatient-only coverage for cardiac and thoracic surgery floor patients at two Atrium sites (about 20 minutes apart).
• Daylight hours only, 40 hr/week minimum, no call. Open to 7 on, 7 off and other ideal schedules.

🩺 Daily flow - Assigned rounding plus consults, admissions, and discharges. Typical volume 8–14 patients per shift.

🧰 Procedural support - Bedside-only: chest tube removal and bedside pleurodesis. No OR responsibilities.

🖥️ Environment - Floor patients only, no CT-surgery ICU coverage. Department size: 30 beds.

👥 Team - Minimal solo coverage, most often paired with 1–2 other APPs. No supervision of APPs and no resident oversight required.

📞 Call - No call.

✅ Requirements - NC license or IMLC. BLS and ACLS required. Board certification required.

📅 Coverage blocks - ASAP start, ongoing need. Temp privileges available, estimated credentialing around 50 days.
